It is now officially Autumn and its slowly becoming more noticeable, with the shorter daylight hours, leaves changing, falling and a bit of crispness to the breeze. With Autumn now here, we are in full swing of the fruit harvest, we have quite a selection of apples, pears, and vegetables to choose from. With Thanksgiving Monday only two weeks away, its time to start prepping menus and picking up your local ingredients to make your dinner a whopping success!
Currently available at Garside’s Farm is King, Bramley, Boskoop, and Spartan Apples, plus Anjou Pears and Quince. Also our Russian Red Garlic, a selection of Tomatoes, Carrot and Kale bunches, Dahlia Flower Bouquets, Zucchinis, Acorn, Kabocha, Delicata and Spaghetti Squash. Also available is a selection of our own Garside’s Farm preserves including a selection of jams, jellies, and salsa’s. We also have our frozen Free Range Roasting Chickens available. If you are not having a giant gathering of friends/family for Thanksgiving you could consider using one of our larger free range roasting chickens. Some of our chickens are close to ten pounds!
Coming soon will be our Jonagold, Gloster and Northern Spy Apples. We will also have potatoes available in a week.
We are open 7 days a week for drop ins, you can also contact us via email, phone, Facebook, or our Contact Us form on our website to order, or if you even just have questions about any of our products or farm. As a side note, we no longer offer Hazelnuts at our farm, unfortunately several years ago our trees were overrun with a blight and they no longer produce. Perhaps in the future we will replant the blight resistant variety, but as of now we do not have any hazelnuts.
